What is the English Language Proficiency Requirement?

International students who do not hold an undergraduate U.S. degree must submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores.

How do I obtain an approved credential evaluation?

A credential evaluation compares academic and professional degrees earned in one country to those earned in another country. Evaluation services can take time. We recommend getting started on the process no later than eight weeks before your anticipated start date. Below are three evaluation agencies approved by UM.

When do classes begin?

UOnline has three intake sessions per year. It is important to note that admission decisions are based upon the overall quality of your application, not individual components. We cannot review your application until all of the required forms have been received. However, our advisors are available to help you every step of the way.

How can I connect with international alumni?

The University of Miami has more than 190,000 alumni globally. The UM Alumni Association supports the growing number of international alumni and has several international alumni groups, where alumni can connect and network. To find an alumni group in your country, click here.

How much are tuition and fees?

Tuition costs vary by program. If admitted, you must submit a $300 non-refundable Enrollment Deposit (paid separately and deducted from the first tuition bill). You will have the option of setting up a Monthly Payment Plan (MPP) once your bill is available after registration. Tuition and fees are billed per term, and payment in full is due no later than the first day of class. Please review the UOnline Graduate Student Handbook for more information on acceptable payment methods.
